Do you love yourself? One way to love yourself more is to find self-love mantras that will help you appreciate yourself and feel deserving of love.
If you want to live a wholehearted life, then loving yourself is essential to feeling fulfilled.
In fact, not liking yourself, can actually lead to depression and anxiety if your self-doubt continues.
If you are feeling bad about yourself, finding helpful mantras and mantras of self-love, are essential to turning around your negative feelings and realizing you matter.
Often in childhood, we want to please our parents. In doing so, we lose some of our authentic selves and become the person we think they want us to be. In doing so, a part of us is left feeling insecure and unworthy. Of course, even the happiest of childhoods can still have some sort of emotional impact. Not to mention, childhood trauma such as abuse, neglect, and overall negative patterns.
If you are feeling down about yourself, it is best to find ways to change this negative thought pattern around and realize you are a worthy individual that deserves love, especially from yourself.
Keep in mind, that self-care is not selfish. Often when we take care of ourselves we feel guilty for putting ourselves first. Yet, it is simply okay to take care of yourself and you deserve the best life has to offer. So grab a coffee with a friend, dance around the house, read a book, or go to the spa because life is short and you deserve happiness.
Yet, as an adult, you do not need to carry this through life. In fact, you can heal your bitterness, by practicing the “I love myself” mantras daily.
But first, let’s learn what a mantra is…
Define Mantras
The word mantra actually comes from Hinduism. In Hinduism, mantras are spoken aloud or internally to protect you or create a sense of armor around your body warding off bad spirits or energy. (Source: Times of India)
Today we use the term “mantra” as a way to express positive thoughts in hopes to change our thought patterns to that of a positive state. Mantras can be used to change negative patterns and limiting beliefs, and they help bring positivity to our otherwise, ordinary day.
Mantras can help one focus on self-care and empowerment focusing on self-esteem and self-worth.
Not all mantras are pertaining to self-love. In fact, there are the self-worth mantras, empowering mantras, personal development mantras, and so on.
